If you are reading this, you are concerned enough about Big Tech enough to take the time to learn about the BUBT movement and we are glad you are here, because this movement needs you. A majority of Americans are grappling with the role of constant technology in the lives of themselves, their families, their children and their peers. There is a growing movement of American citizens that are becoming increasingly concerned about big tech influence, AI advancement, digital surveillance, data collecting, the effects of social media on our collective psyche etc. Many of these concerned individuals don’t know where to start or how to fight against these massive companies. This website is the first step in helping you and your local community find out where and how to take action to let your voices be heard.

Knowledge is power and community is influence. Social media algorithms are fueled by ragebait, fear and misinformation, this movement is the opposite. We want to share accurate, reliable and objective updates on what big tech conglomerates are doing and how it will affect your day to day life without sensationalist spins or bias commentary. Our information page is also for individuals to share relevant information, news stories, legislation etc. related to Big Tech in their own communities. Conglomerates like Meta, Google, OpenAI, Nvidia, Amazon etc. have a seemingly infinite amount of money and resources to advance their agenda. We don’t have hundreds of millions of dollars, but we have something much more powerful. Hundreds of millions of informed and motivated Americans that are ready to stand up against the overwhelming influence Big Tech conglomerates have on their life.

We are building a community of likeminded individuals that have the same existential urge to take action against Big Tech as we do. Everything from raising awareness through canvassing to speaking out at town hall meetings, to getting out and protesting a new datacenter in person near where you live, even to simply voting on specific legislation in your local community. This movement is about expressing your constitutional rights in a legal and responsible manner. We do not promote violence, vandalism or extrajudicial justice to deal with these issues. We are an organization that supports holding Tech conglomerates accountable through democratic process and organized public pressure campaigns because we believe that it is the most effective path towards our intended goals. We want our movement to be clear, concise and not influenced by extremism, political division or political violence. We want this page to be a resource in which individuals can find out how to reach out to their local representatives, learn about local events, protests and/or legislation in their area so they can take part and let their voices be heard. Power to the People!
